Baptism   Leave a comment

Yesterday the six students finished the baptism class, and today we had the baptism celebration after Club. It was great as about 80 people attended the service, held in the sanctuary, including the church members, Club kids and many parents. We were able to witness God´s work here and see how these youth are obeying God. We enjoyed cake and juice together.

Saturday: Art Contest   Leave a comment

I taught the kids the drawing technique “perspective”—drawing objects closer larger and farther away smaller—and they applied this technique to landscapes. The little kids colored a coloring page. We will judge them and give prizes next Saturday.

Alberto´s 15th Birthday   Leave a comment

Alberto “Meshi” turned 15 on Friday. It was a special day for him. His sponsors sent him a donation to take him to buy church clothes and other necessities, to have a family lunch, and to enjoy ice cream together. They sent a birthday card encouraging him. We prayed for him and chatted with him about his school and future. He recently accepted Christ as his Savior and will be baptized next week. We appreciate your prayers for him.

The last photos are Alberto with egg and flour on his head, a Peruvian birthday tradition.
